Careers at OII

The Office of Independent Investigations is a civilian-led agency created to investigate deaths resulting from encounters with law enforcement. It works with law enforcement agencies but remains independent. By removing conflicts of interest and improving transparency in processes, OII strives to improve public confidence while strengthening the relationship between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.

If you are committed to an equitable justice system free from bias, that treats everyone with dignity and respect, consider applying for a position with OII.

Any positions for which the agency is recruiting will be listed below and at careers.wa.gov, the state employment site. For information about benefits offered to Washington State employees, visit Benefits-careers.wa.gov.
